What is Stress Reduction and How Can it Help Me?

It is an accepted fact in the medical and scientific community that stress causes dis-ease. What is somewhat less well known, but slowly gaining recognition, is the fact that emotions are transmitted in the body as chemical substances, known as neuropeptides. Every cell in our body has spaces where these substances can fit into, meaning our emotions can be felt and become trapped anywhere throughout the body.

When we experience an emotion at a time when our body is out of balance, the emotion does not get resolved, but instead becomes ‘stuck’.

Neuroemotional Technique, or NET, is a mind-body method of discovering and removing neurological imbalances throughout the neuro-musculoskeletal system. When present, these imbalances impede the body’s natural ability to heal itself. NET is founded on the principles and research of physiological stress and how it manifests in the body. Through targeted questioning, an NET practitioner brings the body into the same physiological state it was in when the emotion was trapped, and is then able to help the body process through it.
